Electrical testing for NSW workplaces
Sydney workplaces — CBD offices, North Shore commercial strips, Western Sydney warehouses, retail centres and construction sites — all need portable electrical equipment that is safe, tagged and audit-ready. Visits from AGE focus on practical compliance: visual inspection, calibrated testing, durable pass/fail tags, and a register that shows what was tested and when it is next due.
Under WHS duties, PCBUs must ensure electrical equipment is safe. Following AS/NZS 3760 (and AS/NZS 3012 on construction sites) is the accepted way to demonstrate that duty. Insurers and auditors look for itemised evidence — not just a verbal “we’re tagged”.
For Sydney appliance testing, see our Test & Tag Sydney page.
Every electrical testing in NSW job includes visual inspection, electrical testing with calibrated portable appliance testers, durable pass/fail tags, and upload to your client portal. Where it saves you downtime, we combine appliance testing with RCD trip-time checks and infrared switchboard scans in one booking.
Whether your site is in the CBD, Parramatta, Chatswood, Penrith, Campbelltown, Alexandria, Wollongong, Newcastle or further into regional NSW, you get consistent tagging standards and reporting your WHS team can defend at audit time.
Need specialist compliance? We also deliver biomedical equipment testing — a capability most general test-and-tag providers do not offer.

FAQ Questions
Electrical testing FAQs
Electrical testing and tagging involves inspecting and electrically testing portable appliances in accordance with AS/NZS 3760. Each item is fitted with a durable tag showing the test date, technician, and next due date.
Testing intervals depend on the equipment, how it is used and its operating environment. As a general guide, portable equipment on construction and demolition sites is tested every 3 months; equipment in manufacturing and workshop environments typically every 6 months; equipment exposed to damage, frequent flexing or other hostile conditions may require testing every 12 months or sooner; and low-risk office equipment may have intervals of up to 5 years. The appropriate schedule depends on the applicable standards, workplace conditions and risk assessment. We'll recommend a suitable testing schedule for your workplace.
Yes. Our competent, trained technicians service metropolitan, regional, and remote locations across Australia.
We test and tag a wide range of portable electrical appliances such as power tools, office equipment, kitchen appliances, and extension leads. RCD (safety switch) testing is a separate service. We also offer thermal imaging of electrical switchboards.
We work around your schedule to minimise downtime, including after-hours or weekend appointments if required. Our technicians operate efficiently and safely so you can keep your workplace running.
Absolutely. After every visit we issue a detailed digital report and asset register showing each item tested, results, and the next due date. These records help you meet your workplace health and safety obligations.
